Ninestar’s ESG rating has once again advanced its environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance, achieving an “AA” rating from the independent Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) on October 7, 2025. This achievement signifies that Ninestar's continuous improvement has gained high recognition from the international capital market, demonstrating the company's firm determination and solid results in deeply integrating sustainable development concepts into its strategy and operations.

Environmental Leadership

Ninestar’s “Green Intelligent Manufacturing” strategy, centered on clean technology, circular resource use, and low-carbon operations, was a key driver for this “Double A” rating upgrade. The company has systematically reduced its carbon footprint by adopting eco-friendly materials and increasing the use of recycled content. In 2024, clean product sales accounted for 44% of total revenue. From 2021 to 2024, Ninestar recycled more than 90 million ink and toner cartridges, setting an industry benchmark in circular economy practices.

Social Commitment

The elevated rating also recognizes Ninestar’s prioritising of its people and social responsibility. The company provided 14,409 hours of professional safety training in 2024, achieving zero production accidents. Adherence to international standards such as the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) ensured rigorous supplier audits, covering 80% of procurement value. It encouraged suppliers to adopt conflict-free mineral sourcing, further promoting ethical and sustainable supply chains.

Governance Enhancement

MSCI also commended Ninestar for advancing its governance structure. The company has reinforced its anti-corruption procedures, implementing a three-tiered ESG management structure and reducing related-party transactions. These measures have improved transparency, accountability and risk management.
